Joe Collins

With over 25 years of experience in the seafood industry, Joe believes that vision and resourcefulness provides what it takes to succeed. He has worked with leading firms in the industry in a range of roles with diverse responsibilities. This varied background is what gives him the ability to see the bigger picture, an important part of the seafood industry that cannot go unrecognized. If anyone knows the selling process: how its done, sustained and achieved, its Joe. After all, it is what he does.

In the next 20 years, “I want salmon farmers to be more pro-active rather than re-active. Fisherman are hard workers and their ethic, catch methods and principles should not be unnoticed. Knowing your fisherman and where your seafood comes from impacts the taste.”

Ralph Shaw headshot

Ralph Shaw

Ralph worked on the first commercial salmon farm in Canada. By gaining hands-on experience, his knowledge of seafood, how its grown, processed and sold led him to a confident start of Sea Agra in 1991. If anyone were to talk about the importance of adaptation in the industry, Ralph would be it. An underlying amount of commitment shown from decades of working in the seafood world, combined with a good old fashioned dose of honesty and integrity are what best describe his strengths and character.

“Relationships with people is what sells. Its about trust and reliability not force and persuasion.”

Robert Shaw headshot

Robert Shaw

Rob worked in the culinary industry before coming on board with Sea Agra. His passion for cooking food made for an easy transition to selling high quality seafood products. His customers appreciate his candid ability to deliver on promises made, through and through. With organization and wit, Rob works hard to exceed Sea Agra’s customer expectations. To do so, he manages the buying and selling of sustainable products at sustainable prices.

What matters? “Every seafood product has its own intricate characteristics. The concept that no two products can be exactly the same, is what makes our products stand out in terms of authenticity and sustainability.”
